About Us:

Calidus Resources Limited are a gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia.

After a short operational pause, exciting changes are underway as we embrace new management and look to ramp our Warrawoona project back up to full production by March 2025.

With a bright future ahead, the Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 5+ years with significant potential to further resources within the region.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role contributes to the optimisation of the performance, availability and safety of fixed plant by performing preventative maintenance, statutory inspections, repairs, installation and construction tasks associated with the electrical maintenance of the plant including high voltage switching and instrumentation work. This role will be on a 15:13 roster of dayshifts with a call-out roster.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct breakdown and preventive maintenance work on all fixed plant and site infrastructure
• Preparing and executing high voltage switching programs and isolations
• Camp Maintenance – Kitchen and Village accommodation
• Complete statutory testing and inspections as set out in Australian standards
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviours or actions
• Ensure good clear communication lines within the team and with other sections/departments
• Comply with all Company Policies, Procedures, and Values

Education and Experience:

• Electrical Trade Certificate
• Current Electrical Licence
• High Voltage Switching Qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems
• WA C class drivers’ licence
• Certificate IV in instrumentation (desired)
• Elevated Work Platform (desirable)
• Forklift (desirable)

Skills & Abilities:

• The ability to work as part of a multi skilled workforce
• Strong focus on safety driven operations
• Sound knowledge of electrical schematics with the ability to fault find
