Process Technician

Calidus Resources Limited are a gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia.

After a short operational pause, exciting changes are underway as we embrace new management and look to ramp our Warrawoona project back up to full production by March 2025.

With a bright future ahead, the Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 5+ years with significant potential to further resources within the region.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Process Technician contributes to optimised performance of fixed plant operations by safely operating plant components such as feeders, crushers, conveyors, mills, CIP/CIL Tanks, pumps, slurry flows, sampling, reagents and other equipment and mobile plant in production activities This role will be on a 15:13 roster including 12 hour day and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the processing plant and related support systems
• Monitoring equipment on an ongoing basis to ensure safe and cost efficient operations
• Reporting and rectifying any variances to production targets to minimise interruptions to the process to maximise production
• Conduct regular sampling, testing and quality control activities
• Unblock chutes and transfer points
• Shut down, start up, monitor and adjust production circuit as required
• Respond rapidly to malfunctions and abnormalities in the production circuit

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in gold processing plant including:
• CIL (Tanks) Circuit
• Milling Circuit
• Crushing

Skills & Abilities:

• Current WA manual driver’s licence
• Competent to independently and safely operate feeders, crushers, conveyors, mills, leach tanks and pumps without assistance
• Computer literacy including Excel, Word and Plant Control Systems
• Working at Heights Ticket
• Confined Spaces Ticket
